CertyfikatB1

Terms of service

Version of October 19, 2026

These terms set out the rules for using certyfikatb1.pl, a trainer that helps you prepare for the Polish state certificate exam in Polish as a foreign language at level B1.

  1. §1General provisions

    1. 1.The certyfikatb1.pl website (the “Service”) is run by CertyfikatB1 (the “Operator”). Contact: kontakt@certyfikatb1.pl.
    2. 2.The terms are available in the Service free of charge in a form that allows them to be downloaded, saved and printed.
    3. 3.Using the Service means accepting the terms. Creating an account requires their explicit acceptance.
  2. §2Nature of the Service and its materials

    1. 1.The Service is an online trainer that helps you prepare for the certificate exam in Polish as a foreign language: timed tests in the exam format with automatic checking and explanations, grammar exercises, phrases and model texts for the written part, model answers for the oral part, reading texts, flashcards and a quiz on the exam rules.
    2. 2.All materials in the Service are authentic and were developed by the specialists of certyfikatb1.pl on the basis of the structure of the exam and an analysis of the exams of previous years. They reproduce the format, the level of difficulty, the timing and the scoring of the exam.
    3. 3.The Service is an independent learning tool. It is not affiliated with the State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language or with any examination centre. Registration for the exam takes place directly at the chosen centre.
    4. 4.Results obtained in the Service are indicative and serve to assess your own progress. The Operator does not guarantee passing the state exam.
  3. §3User account

    1. 1.The Service may be used by an adult, or by a person aged 16 or over with the consent of a legal guardian.
    2. 2.An e-mail address and a password are needed to create an account. The user is responsible for keeping the password confidential and for the actions performed on their account.
    3. 3.The account is personal. Sharing it with other people is not allowed.
    4. 4.The user may request the deletion of the account at any time by writing to the Operator. Deleting the account deletes the results and progress.
  4. §4Notifications and messages from the Service

    1. 1.By creating an account the user subscribes to e-mail messages from certyfikatb1.pl: notifications about new tests and materials, exam session dates and changes to the service, and information about the Service's offer and promotions.
    2. 2.The user may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any message or by writing to the Operator. Unsubscribing does not cover messages needed for the account to work, such as a password reset or a change of the terms.
    3. 3.The Operator does not pass users' e-mail addresses to other parties for their mailings.
  5. §5Scope of services and fees

    1. 1.Part of the materials is available free of charge after creating an account. Full access is covered by paid, time-limited plans; the current price list is on the home page of the Service.
    2. 2.Plans do not renew automatically. When the period ends, access returns to the free scope and the account and progress are kept.
    3. 3.Online payments will launch together with the paid plans. Until then every published test is available free of charge once you create an account.
    4. 4.The Operator may change the scope of free and paid materials and the prices; a change does not affect plans already paid for.
  6. §6Copyright

    1. 1.The materials in the Service – tests, tasks, explanations, phrases, model texts, recordings, graphics and code – are protected by copyright and belong to the Operator or are used under licence.
    2. 2.The user may use the materials only for personal use, to prepare for the exam. Copying, publishing, selling or otherwise using the materials outside the Service requires the Operator's written consent.
    3. 3.Texts written by the user in the exercises remain the user's property. The user agrees to their processing for automatic assessment and for showing the results.
  7. §7Rules of use

    1. 1.It is forbidden to disrupt the Service, circumvent its safeguards, download materials automatically or use the Service in a way that is unlawful or contrary to good practice.
    2. 2.The Operator may block an account that breaches the terms after asking the user to stop, and in flagrant cases without asking.
  8. §8Liability and availability

    1. 1.The Operator strives to keep the Service running continuously and correctly but does not guarantee the absence of technical interruptions. Planned interruptions are announced in advance where possible.
    2. 2.Automatic assessment of written texts is a learning aid and may differ from an examiner's assessment.
    3. 3.To the extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for damage resulting from use of the Service contrary to the terms or for data loss caused by circumstances beyond its control. Consumer rights under mandatory law remain unaffected.
  9. §9Complaints and withdrawal

    1. 1.Complaints about the operation of the Service or payments may be sent to the Operator's address. The Operator replies within 14 days.
    2. 2.A consumer may withdraw from a contract for a paid plan within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason, unless, with their express consent, access to the digital content began before that period ended.
  10. §10Personal data

    1. 1.The processing of personal data, including the e-mail address, results and progress, is described in the Privacy policy available in the Service.
  11. §11Changes to the terms and final provisions

    1. 1.The Operator may change the terms for important reasons, in particular a change of law, of the scope of services or of the way of paying. Users are informed in the Service or by e-mail at least 14 days before a change takes effect. A user who does not accept the changes may delete the account.
    2. 2.Polish law applies to matters not covered here. Disputes with consumers may also be resolved out of court, for example through the European Commission's ODR platform.
